This time I chose a special subject to write this article, which is my experience on the LinkedIn Learning Champions Program and the incredible opportunities that the LinkedIn platform provided me. I already had a LinkedIn profile before, but after starting this volunteer program I began to understand and admire the countless tools and possibilities of development I was able to discover. With the amazing support of my mentor Jennifer Catallo from LinkedIn and the incredible team that I worked at George Brown College, I was able to develop several skills and work on projects that were extremely important for my professional growth and for other people as well. Lovingly I would like to tell you a little of my journey and at the same time provide some valuable advice for your career!

First of all, I would like to mention the incredible opportunity to create our team of Wave-makers with three other excellent professionals! With them I was able to develop my teamwork skills, joining different expertise and amazing ideas in favor of student development. Together we were able to spread our knowledge both on LinkedIn and LinkedIn Learning and positively influence the career of several people. I am grateful for our partnership and for starting this path of spreading waves (knowledge) around.Given this experience, my first advice is that you never underestimate the significant positive influence that people can have in your life when working together. We all have different competencies and together, in addition to being stronger, we can share and inspire new skills.

Another important factor learned from my experiences with LinkedIn is the importance of effective communication and networking. You need to understand that LinkedIn is a powerful tool for building mutual professional relationships in which people can exchange knowledge, help each other and generate opportunities for everyone. I was able to participate in some informational interviews, for example, in which I received a lot of professional advice and I was able to exchange experiences with other human resources professionals. It is important to develop our interpersonal skills, and so my third advice is that you invest more time building a network.Meeting people, communicating and exchanging experiences can greatly influence the progress of your career. If you want to learn more about the practice of informational interviews, I wrote an article providing valuable tips to help with the networking process.
Finally, my experience on the LinkedIn Learning Champions Program changed my mindset, encouraged my critical thinking and pushed me to strengthen my personal brand. In addition to developing new skills and expanding my network of professional contacts, I was exposed to numerous opportunities that led to my career development. I am grateful for this incredible experience, for the excellent results achieved and for having positively impacted the lives of so many people. Even more rewarding is knowing the great personal and professional projects that are to come. Thank you, LinkedIn! I look forward to continuing my journey, putting my projects into practice and taking my positivism and knowledge to other people! My final advice is for you to always strive for excellence in whatever you do. Make plans and pursue your goals, as we are able to achieve much more than we can imagine.
